Tangy Broccoli Salad

Tangy Broccoli Salad recipe
Broccoli proves that it’s no boring ol’ veggie in this smart dish. Give it a little sweet-tangy dressing—and a sprinkling of bacon—and next thing you know, it's gone.

I love this salad. My mom made it for years and its one of my favorites. I will try adding sunflower seeds, but no raisins for me.

I was actually looking for a recipe on this site that I found back in May 2012 called Tangy Tropical Broccoli Salad but could not find it...anyways, it's pretty much like this recipe except pineapples are added and it is very good.

I added craisens and cheese as some had suggested and refrigerated it 6 hours to flavor thorough. It was good, but not as good as similar recipes that I have made.

I have made this so many times... I love it and everyone loves it that I make it for.. I made it for school events, cookouts, pot lucks. Its always a winner. I use olive oil mayo and add 1/2 cup cheese and a cup of madrine oranges. I blanch the broccoli for a half a min or lil longer. You have to try it. You can do some many different things.

I made a couple of changes, I added some shredded cheese, I used the one suggestion to use sunflower seeds instead of bacon. I also used Mayo, Splenda, and apple cider vinegar. It was a great hit. I also used Tastefully simple seasoning salt in the dressing.

This is very good and easy to remember! I did add jicama and sunflower seeds to it. The jicama gives it a little more juice when you bite in. Everyone asks for the recipe.
