I made this recipe for a friend, except I didn't have the actual recipe. My grandmother used to make this all the time so I just went by the taste. I didn't use vinegar, and I added matchstick carrots and added shredded cheese, I did the raisins also. They loved it and wanted the recipe so I just for emailed this recipe for them. DElicious

Recipe was easy and was a hit with kids and adults. Substituted the miracle whip with 1 cup Kraft Mayo and added a head of cauliflower. Used the pre-cooked bacon to cut down time.

Served this salad for a lunch get-together and the adults all had second helpings but it didn't go over too well with the kids. It is very easy to make. Next time I will add craisins to see if they would enhance the recipe. This is an easy-to-make-ahead dish.

This recipe is really good, however, I needed 2.5 bunches of broccoli chopped into florets to get the right amount. I increased the miracle whip light to approximately 1 cup and the vinegar (I used red wine vinegar) as the dressing did not adequately cover the broccoli. I used a bottle of real bacon bits instead of the bacon with good results. I added raisins and toasted pecan bits and the salad went over extremely well. To make it more heart healthy I plan on experimenting with using less miracle whip light and adding non fat yogurt cheese to make it a bit healthier.

I made the broccoli salad, but substituted Kraft Mayo for the light Miracle Whip. I also added 3/4 cup of Golden raisins. Yummy. I took the salad to a pot luck dinner. It was a big hit with everyone.

This is a great side to any meal. I did blanch the broccoli prior and added 2% Kraft Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Due to our household loving vegetables, I am going to try adding thinly sliced mushrooms and peppers the next go around. The taste is great!!
