I've tried this but then tweaked it a bit. Added some lemon juice and zest on top along with some chopped up peaches with it. Yum, and also try experimenting by mixing with different other fruits.

yummy yummy yummy...it took longer to prepare than it says but it was well worth it...i served it with hot caramel sauce on top and vanilla ice cream...it was fabulous...

A HIT IF I KNEW ONE!!!!! Family LOVED it! My mother is a Apple Crisp woman, went to Denny's and other restaurants and hated them. Couldn't eat it. My first time making one, she tried it, LOVED it, couldn't get enough. I added graham cracker crumbs to the oat mix, drizzled a little honey and syrup over the apples before adding the oat mixture. Baked for 40 minutes, it was bubbly and sweet. Not too sweet though. Crunchy and had great flavor.Crunchy from the Pecans (don't like walnuts) and oats. But the apples were very tender. It cooled for 5-10 minutes and I put two scoops of ice cream on the plate, scooped a heap of Apple Crisp next to it. Added some thawed cool whip/ whip cream on top of the Crisp and sprinkled cinnamon over the whipped cream and served it hot. Oh I also added a dash of sugar over the apples before adding the oat mixture, and doubled the melted butter because I had more mix than the recipie called for. I will make this for my fiance' for a romantic desert. And add som
