I have been making this recipe for years now but with home-made dressing. mix equal parts of olive oil, sugar, and balsamic vinegar.

i did not have all of the igredients improvized. almost as good use oregano instead of basil sprinkle with oil and wine vinagar. delicous salt and pepper to taste

Adding about 1/4 tsp of fresh mint leaves gives this dish an extremely subtle change. Tear the leaves into fine pieces and mix with the basil before adding to tomatoe mixture

Very quick, very easy, very good! I have also tried it with different dressings. The citrus vinegrette was really good on this too!

I have made the Tomato Basil Salad several times. I have passed the recipe to several of my friends. My family likes it better than just tossed salad. I add a small can of sliced black olives.

This recipe tasted great and looked great and it is also quick and easy

Very quick, easy to prepare. I made it as a last minute side dish and it was the hit of the dinner! Would be excellent with sirloin tips or london broil.
