The finished product using the tin foil method didnt look very good so I ended up "frosting" the whole thing with cool whip. I also made a double layer which looked very pretty. This is an absolutely fantastic light dessert!

I made this dessert to take to a friends house whom had invited us for dinner, as the weather was really hot it went over beautifully. However when my husband picked up a key lime sherbert on his way home it was white in colour, so what I did was add a little green food colouring to the filling mixture and it looked as great as it tasted. I also put sherbert on top and bottom for contrast.

We added a graham cracker crust and loved it! It was a hit with the whole family. I'm considering preparing it next time in individual, store bought, tart pans with pre-made crusts.

I made this for a family BBQ and everyone absolutely loved it! It was very easy to make, and perfect for a hot summer evening. My family says I have to make this for every BBQ now!

Would be great for a baby shower. A bit difficult to make the tin foil smooth in the pan, thus cake doesn't turn out as smooth as the picture. But, very yummy.

I made this recipe twice, once for friends and once for family. Both said that a larger, or second, layer of sherbet would have been great. They also suggested decreasing the "white" layer, as it was extremely rich! I used lime sherbet and lemon juice, which was pretty good. I would probably make it again but would add more layers this time.
