Strawberry Margarita Squares

Love a frozen margarita? This one takes the cake. A strawberry, lime juice and cream cheese filling tops a pretzel crust for a perfect way to chill out.

What You Need

1-1/4

cups crushed pretzels

1/4

cup butter or margarine, melted

can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

cup pureed strawberries

1/2

cup lime juice

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

cup sliced fresh strawberries

Make It

MIX pretzel crumbs and butter in 13x9-inch pan; press onto bottom of pan. Refrigerate until ready to use.

COMBINE condensed milk, pureed strawberries and lime juice in large bowl. Gently stir in COOL WHIP; pour over crust.

FREEZE 6 hours. Remove from freezer about 15 min. before serving; let stand at room temperature to soften slightly. Serve topped with sliced strawberries.

Strawberry Margarita Pie

Prepare dessert as directed, pressing crumb mixture onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate before adding strawberry filling and freezing as directed.

This recipe was great. The lime gives it a kick so to compliment that I added some sea salt to the pretzel crust before adding the filling. I would recommend adding more butter to add in the crust otherwise the pretzels don't stick to the bottom like it should. Otherwise, very delicious! Everybody loved it. I will make this again.

I altered the recipe by using lime jello mixed with a little lime juice, and it turned out really good.
