Strawberry Margarita Squares

Love a frozen margarita? This one takes the cake. A strawberry, lime juice and cream cheese filling tops a pretzel crust for a perfect way to chill out.

What You Need

1-1/4

cups crushed pretzels

1/4

cup butter or margarine, melted

can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

cup pureed strawberries

1/2

cup lime juice

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed

cup sliced fresh strawberries

Make It

MIX pretzel crumbs and butter in 13x9-inch pan; press onto bottom of pan. Refrigerate until ready to use.

COMBINE condensed milk, pureed strawberries and lime juice in large bowl. Gently stir in COOL WHIP; pour over crust.

FREEZE 6 hours. Remove from freezer about 15 min. before serving; let stand at room temperature to soften slightly. Serve topped with sliced strawberries.

Strawberry Margarita Pie

Prepare dessert as directed, pressing crumb mixture onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate before adding strawberry filling and freezing as directed.

wow, thisi recipe is delicous! it is wounderful! i usually don't like these kinda of strawberry whip type of desert but this just was mouth watering and it wasn't hard to make at all! i suggest everyone to make this for your family on a nice warm summer night. It was perfect and i am planning on making the strawberry margarita squares tonight!!!! thanks a lot for this great recipe!

I had entered this recipe in a desert contest and won 1st place. After tasting the desert, everyone wanted the recipe and couldn't believe how easy it was to make. That's one thing you can enjoy with this recipe.

I made this for a Baby Shower a couple weeks ago and everyone loved it and wanted the recipe - it was a HOT day and it was a wonderful COOL -LIGHT DESSERT. Wanted to take all the credit myself - but I confessed and told everyone I found the recipe in Food and Family Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very easy, good and a nice summer dessert. I made it in pie form and also used skim sweetened condensed milk. VERY GOOD!

This recipe is great. My husband loved it as well as my coworkers. Easy to make and is a great change to ice cream in the summer. We prefered to eat ours completely frozen instead of letting sit at room temp. It also can serve more than 12 because a small piece will go along way with the taste buds. Enjoy.
