I must have done something wrong. Can anyone help? How does one spread Cool Whip on liquid jello? When I poured my second layer of jello on top of my Cool Whip it slid beneath my Cool Whip layer leaving an ugly, unpatriotic pie! ~ The recipe instructs you to pour the blue jell-o into pie crust; refrigerate 5 to 10 minutes or until gelatin is set but not firm before you add the cool whip ~ Kraft Kitchens

What about putting the red on the bottom and the blue on top and then you could add star sprinkles for a real american flag? I am going to try this out for my restaurant!!! Happy Memorial Day yall.

i made this recipe without the crust and put the jell-o into little cupcake pans, and it turned out great...YUMMY!!!

Remember to use the spoon to add the top layer of jello, if you don't the jello will eat thru your cool whip and ruin the layer look.
