Made this for our wedding anniversary dinner and it was wonderful! I used eggbeaters w/ no water to dip the shrimp in. Suggestion - do not put all the crumb mixture in dipping dish at once. I used half at a time, this prevents to much moisture, which makes it not what to stick to the shrimp.
The coconut did not stick very well if any body has an idea on how to get it to stick better please let me know but overall had good flavor
i made it with the shrimp and it was really good, but is even better with tilipia! yum
I find this coconut shimp made with shake-bake is very good, my friends and family loved it! kATIE
This recipe was ok, but it was missing something, haven't quite figured out what that something is...we probably won't make it again, we'll try to find a better recipe. It wasn't bad, but not great either.
i could not get the mixture to stick very well but it was was ok in taste
THE BEST! And its not fried. Serve with sweet and sour sauce, pina colada sauce, or by itself. I served it at a dinner party and it was a hit!
This was pretty good but I found that after a few shrimp, the mix was starting to clump and after while would not stick to the shrimp.
WOW that was all my husband could say when I made it. I made several changes off of what other people suggested. I did not use shake 'n bake I just used bread crumbs with Italian seasoning added. I also did not sure the cayenne. I dipped the shrimp in the egg and then in the mixture then in pina colada mix and in the mixture again. This tastes just like what you get at a restaurant. This is now in our top 5 things to make.
I would recommend to omit half of the curry powder and also add more coconut flakes to the shake and bake. I served the shrimp with the orange maralade sauce and we loved it
