Slow-Cooker Beef Stroganoff

Your slow cooker does the heavy lifting in our classic beef dish. Just prep some pasta while hearty beef and fresh garlic, onions and mushrooms simmer away.

What You Need

lb. beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes

oz. fresh mushrooms, halved

onion, chopped

clove garlic, minced

cup beef broth

tsp. paprika

tsp. salt

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

Tbsp. flour

Tbsp. GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard

pkg. (16 oz.) egg noodles, uncooked

Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley

Make It

PLACE meat, mushrooms, onions and garlic in slow cooker. Add broth, paprika and salt. Cover with lid. Cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours (or on HIGH 5 hours).

MIX sour cream, flour and mustard. Stir into ingredients in slow cooker until well blended. Cook, covered, on LOW 15 min. Meanwhile, cook noodles as directed on package.

DRAIN noodles; place in large serving bowl. Add meat mixture; mix lightly. Sprinkle with parsley.

Although this recipe is easy to make, it was not that tasty. I would definitely skip this one. We did not like the combination of mustard and sour cream.

wasn't impressed....smelt great while cooking for the 7 hours in the slow cooker but once the sour cream was added, it tasted unusual...like it didnt belong...wouldn't make this one again, I was very disappointed...

This recipe was very easy and very good. The mustard added a new dimension to the stroganoff.

I didn't add the mustard into the dish because I am not a big fan of mustard. A packet of Lipton Beef & Onion soup mix was added to the dish. I cooked my noodles in with the dish with about an hour left to go. The dish turned out really great!

good flavor, very subtle. you need to let the sauce sit for 15-25 mins before it thickens. My family loved it.

The taste was yummy, but the sauce didn't have a creamy appearance which meant I had to talk my kids into trying it. For this reason, I wouldn't make it for company, but my family said they'd eat it again.
