not bad at all but the cream cheere was a bit much. I tryed it agen only i used 3/4 cups sourcream and 1 cup of red wine, in place of the creamcheese. My staff and guests liked it much better had a much richer flavor and, I was surving it to a party of 50 people. They had no idea the meat was cooked in a crackpot the day befor. what a time saver that was

Horrible! - All you can taste is the cream cheese. Don't waste your money.

Not having breef broth on hand, I substituted two beef bouillon cubes and two cups of water. Since I don't care for onions, I used fresh shallots which are much milder. I also used canned mushrooms which are just as flavorful. Although I drained off the fluid, the sauce was still thin but extremely tasty. We dipped pieces of bread in it and ate the rest with a spoon just like soup. Delicious! I enjoyed reading people's ideas about adding sour cream with the cream cheese and adding corn starch if desired.

This is a good recipe for a cold Saturday. Just throw everything in the slow cooker all day and take a few extra steps just before serving and you have an easy delicious meal. I added 2 tablespoons of flour to 1/4 cup of water and mixed it in just before serving to make it a little thicker.

I also coated meat with flour and seasonings and then browned the meat as well as adding cooking sherry. About 1 hour prior to serving, I added frozen peas. My family enjoyed it!

My family loved this with cream cheese. I like to serve dishes right from the burner and the cream cheese stood up to the heat better than sour cream does. I used kluski noodles for the traditional stroganoff texture. Very easy and quick to make.

I browned the meat and onions a bit first and also added approx. 1/4 cup of sherry. My family thought it was fantastic and it was so easy.
