Slow-Cooker Saucy Meatballs

Slow-Cooker Saucy Meatballs recipe
One fan told us, "This is my go-to recipe for spaghetti and meatballs!" What makes them so flavorful? A stretch in the slow-cooker with all that sauce.

I made this with a pound of beef and a half pound of Italian sausage. I also added a can of Italian tomatoes. Turned out great.

These turned out to be absolutely delicious. I loved the strips of green pepper in it. I did use turkey burger instead of ground beef so that they wouldn't be greasy. But, they were falling apart though as I tried to scoop them out of the slow-cooker.

The meatballs themselves were really good and everyone loved them. Next time though I will partially cook the meatballs in the oven and then put in the sauce for only a couple of hours. They were too soft for the full amount of time listed for the slow cooker. I made too many for the amount of sauce that I had and finished the extras in the oven and they were fantastic. The slow cooker ones tasted great but just too soft.

I think my favorite thing is when people change the recipe COMPLETELY and then give it a bad rating? I think these were good and a real crowd pleaser.

It was awesome ! I loved it!! I did use lean meat , extra sauce, and not the whole box of stuffing. And it was delicious:) my 6 yr old son really loved it too! The meatballs didn't all fall apart Like I had read. It wasn't greasy Like I read and the meatballs did not taste like stuffing like I had also read . So yes I will make again !! It really is a great recipe.

I made these meatballs with a meatball/meatloaf meat mixture instead of plain hamburger. I made the meatballs and fried them in a little bit of olive oil just to brown them and keep them together and just put them in a regular pot, not the crock-pot (crock-pots make things too soft sometimes) with the sauce and cooked it until the meat was not pink anymore. I think using the meatball mixture instead of the plain hamburger cut down the stuffing flavor and made it tender and not mushy. I don't think its a good idea to put meatballs in a crock-pot for 6-8 hrs or even 3-4 and think that they are gonna come out anything other than mushy

This was decent, but I don't love the meatball recipe... tasted too much like stuffing!

I've tried this one twice. It just isn't that good. It ok but not worth making it. The meatballs have WAY too much Stove Top in them. The sauce tastes like Stove Top when done. So it's basically like eating noodles with Stove Top sauce on top.
