I only had Chicken Stuffing and it was a 5oz box so I added some parmesean cheese. They were GREAT!
This is a delicious recipe! My husband wants to have it all the time now. Even my toddler ate it all up! I love how much leftovers it makes too!
This was a very easy recipe to make and my boyfriend loved it! I did end up adding more sauce though. The meatballs had nice flavoring to them. Will be making it again soon!
I made this recipe and it had good flavor but just too greasy and fatty. I used lean ground beef but it obviously didn't help, I even put extra bread crumbs to conunter act the comments on it previously ( about it being too soggy ) it wasn't enough. But my biggest problem was the grease...too much...yuck!!
My husband loved it! My meat balls were perfect, not mushy and the sauce was excellent. I am making it again tonight. I did the high setting for 3 to 4 hours and I didn't smash the stuffing, I just used my (clean) hands to mix the meat, egg, and stuffing together. I also used 3 different kinds of sauce mostly because I didn't have a whole jar of any one kind and it turned out wonderful!
I crushed the Stove Top stuffing as suggested - the meatballs did hold up better, but the texture was a little gooey. The green pepper was very crisp and needed more time to cook. I would call this meatloaf stew rather than meatballs. I won't be making this again.
These meatballs were a big hit with my family and guests. They couldn't get over how tender the meatballs were. I made my own sauce as I didn'thave enough jarred sauce and it turned out even better, even my kids loved it. I will be making my meatballs this way from now on. I served it with garlic bread and ceaser salad.
The trick to this recipe is making it with very lean ground beef and not stirring it until the end of cooking time. My family loves this recipe and I have made it many times.
YUCK!!!! The meatballs turned to mush and the ones that stayed together tasted mushy on the outside. The sauce tasted like swiss steak because of the stuffing seasoning and bell peppers. The whole familly hated it!
This was horrible. I pulled out one of the meatballs to try it out and then called my husband to have him grab dinner on his way home. I followed the directions and didn't leave out any of the ingredients. I was looking forward to it due to it having some of my favorite things. So dissapointing!
