Great soup & meatless too!!! I served mine with a handful of pita chips and it won rave reviews even from my husband who hates soup.

Very Good! Easy to make; full of flavor; very filling! I garnished with a small dollop of sour cream - rather than chopped cilantro. The sour cream made the soup almost-creamy. Great keeper recipe.

OH yeah! Good stuff! We have Lenten soup & sandwich service on Wednesday evenings...I just got home, hit the website and got my copy of the recipe before I got my shoes off! It was made just like the recipe, I believe, and enjoyed by all, male and female...empty crockpot for sure!

I thought this recipe was very good and very very easy when crunched for time. I added a little more cumin and some minced garlic. We topped it with cheese, crushed chips, sour cream and cilantro. I like the recipe just the way it is, but would like to add a little chicken just for a change. I hope everyone tries this easy breezy recipe and enjoys it as much as we did. I will definitely be making it again!!!!!

I changed it around a little... I am a vegetarian so I used vegetable broth, I decided to make it a REAL chowder, substiuted the macaroni for potatos (I am going to educate all of you here!) a REAL chowder MUST have potatos, it cannot be called chowder without potatoes. I added some cumin and used the black beans and the pintos both in place of kidneys. I also took the corn and drained it, non stick sprayed an oven pan and roasted the corn in broiler checking it for toastiness (gives toastier authenic flavor)I used veggie shredded cheese to top and of coarse cilantro

It was really good. I added sour cream to it, kinda like a chili, and it was still very, very good.
