My husband and I love this recipe. I always like when I get to use the crock-pot and these are delicious. Red peppers work much better with the BBQ sauce than green peppers. And I see a lot of people ommit the peas but it adds to the dish. Will continue to make.
Would have been better without the BBQ sauce. Next time I will use tomato sauce.

This was terrible!!! I read all the reviews and added more flavor so that it wouldn't be bland like others said it was, hoping it they would be good, but nope still taste terrible. Also the rice should be cooked first instead of putting it in the pepper uncooked, rice was still hard after 8 hours. Never making again, will stick to my old ways.
Loved it! I used orange bell peppers, a pepper-jack cheese and frozen peas and chopped carrots (the only way I can get my boyfriend to eat his vegetables is to mix it in something that would be too hard to pick it all out :). We loved it all. I just wish I had a bigger Crockpot so I could make this for all my friends when they come over for dinner.
I did make some changes to this recipe. I replaced the BBQ sauce with tomato sauce, replaced the peas with onions and used brown rice and replaced the cheese with a 4 cheese mix. I did use 3 green peppers and 3 red peppers. This dish does have a nice flavor to it. I loved it as there was hardly any work do it and I love using my slow cooker! My Husband and Daughter loved it. My husband told me to put this on his "A" list.
My husband loved this! He said these were his new favorite stuffed peppers. I left out the peas because I forgot to get some from the store, I substituted the chopped part of the peppers. Very easy to make.
We're not big on stuffed peppers but THIS IS A KEEPER. 4 out 5 gave it 2 thumbs up. the 5th gave it 1 thumbs up and he doesn't even like peppers or peas. I used 2% shredded cheddar instead of velveeta and it turned out GREAT!
Always remember to put slits in the bottom of your peppers so they won't be holding the fat from the meat
