I used cheap but real steak (beef), added about half a carrot and half a some other veggies along with the onion, but otherwise followed the recipe. Makes a tasty sauce! I did not use a whole container of sour cream, that would be too much. Also, if you want to keep leftovers, instead of mixing the sour cream in just serve it on the table and store the sauce and the pasta seperately in the fridge.

My fiance and I are vegetarian and were looking for a vegetarian stroganoff recipe. I was a little wary at first, but it came out delicious! We've made it a few times, and each time it's great. The only thing we do differently is add a bit less sour cream and use wheat noodles.

I used ground beef and beef broth and regular sour cream but it was so quick and easy, I LOVED it and my husband did too!

This is an excellent recipe for a busy weeknight. You will probably always have the ingredients in your pantry for this dish. Also extremely tasty!

This was excellent! I love one-dish recipes, and this was delicious. I used onion powder instead of chopped onion and left off the parsley, because I hate chopping. Also substituted non-dairy sour cream because of lactose issues. Three meat-eaters at work tried it, and said they would never guess that it didn't contain meat. Thank you for a super-easy, healthy recipe!

This was disgusting. Rubbery. The reviewers must work for Kraft or Boca because it was gross. And, we have used vegetarian products before.
