This dish was very good. I made a couple of substitutions, however. Like ground turkey for the beef, and plain italian herb seasoning instead of the packet. It cuts down on the sodium.

Very....very bland. I would not make this again.

My family loves this recipe, but I did have to adjust the amt.of seasoning packets.I usually use 3-4 packets for 2-3lbs of beef.I also let the rice sit longer,10mins or so.

This was delicious! My whole family loved it. I have no idea how any one found it remotely bland. I tried the meat after it cooked with the onion and seasoning and it was delicious. I did add some garlic, oregano, and basil, because I love really intense flavors. I wonder if those that found it bland used the wrong seasoning or just tried regular italian seasoning.

It is quick and easy but this recipe is very bland. I make this now with hot italian sausage and garlic and it tastes wonderful.

I will never make this again. I was not impressed at all. I even added extra spices, worcestershire sauce, and used chicken broth instead of water as some other reviewers suggested. It was still bland in my opinion. And it made WAY too much. I ended up throwing half of it out because it was not even worth saving for leftovers IMO.

This recipe was very tasty! It was super easy to make! And the best part...my husband really liked it - and he's not a fan of the traditional stuffed cabbage rolls! I tweaked it only by adding fresh chopped garlic (because I add that to just about everything) and substituted diced tomatoes for the crushed (it's what I had on hand and I like the chunks of tomato). I also added a cap full of Mrs. Dash Original Blend and some red pepper flakes to give it some extra flavor and a little kick. I'll never make stuffed cabbage rolls again now that I have this recipe! Thanks!!!

This recipe was very easy to make and tasted just like stuffed cabbage without all the work. It had a very nice flavor which my husband and I enjoyed very much.

We have been making this recipe for over a year. We both love it. I use a 1lb bag of cold slaw mix, it is just as inexpensive as buying a head of cabbage and I don't have to cut it up
