Almond Crescents

Every time I make this people rave about these cookies. I omit the nuts on top and use white chocolate drizzle to make them look more elegant.

What You Need

cups (4 sticks) butter, softened

cup powdered sugar

cups flour

cup ground PLANTERS Almonds

pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped

cup finely chopped pistachios

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

MIX butter and sugar in large bowl with wooden spoon until well blended. Gradually add flour, stirring after each addition until well blended. Stir in nuts.

SHAPE into 2-inch crescents, using 1 Tbsp. dough for each. Place, 2 inches apart, on parchment- or foil-covered baking sheets.

BAKE 12 to 15 min. or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 2 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

MELT chocolate as directed on package. Dip one end of each cookie in chocolate; top with nuts. Return to wire racks; let stand until chocolate is firm.

Variation

For variety, dust the cookies with powdered sugar instead of dipping them in the melted chocolate. Be sure to coat the cookies while they are still warm to ensure an even coating of the sugar.

I made these a few days ago,and they are very easy to make. I rolled some in powdered sugar and dipped one end of a few in chocolate. I like it both ways. They are tastey but not too sweet. They are a cookie that won't last long when served. Thanks for the recipe!

I have made a variation of the same recipe for years. I would suggest rolling the finished cookie gently in powder sugar. They will taste a lot like Mexican Wedding Cookies that way.

The cookies were delicious, I made a variation of cookies to take to our company X-mas party and the almond crescents were a hit. I added 1/2 tsp of almond extract to the mix and they tasted great.

This cookie recipe is awesome! I tried making different shapes and top with different toppings like candy color balls or just leave it plain with dipped chocolate, the results were amazing. I'm sure they would make very nice presents for Christmas!

EXCELLENT!! Mine and my families very favorite. Rolled in powdered sugar, just melt in your mouth. Can't stop eating them. Will have to make double batches and hide them to have any left for Christmas!

I love this recipe. It is one of my very favorites. I love to try each and everyones. This one has a very buttery flavor and light in taste. Will use it this year for my cookie collection for xmas. Thank's Mary Holmes
