I have made these Kourabiedes cookies many times. After you bake the cookies and they are still warm you are suppose to sift some powdered sugar and completely cover the cookies in the sugar. No wonder most people that rated this cookie said they were plain and bland!

Good flavor, not very sweet, great shortbread. Know before you make these that shortbread tends to be a little drier than other cookies.

This is not an overly sweet cookie, which is why I like it. I've used this recipe 4 times during the holidays because it was easy to follow, took very little time to prepare, and they taste great. Once I got the hang of it, I changed the bittersweet to semi-sweet chocolate, and added a little vanilla flavoring, that seems to work better for me. It's become one of my favorites.

they were chalky tasting. We hated them. We will never try again.

Excellent! Everyone liked these. Even my two small children loved these cookies. I did add vanilla to the recipe. Will be making these every year.

I also dipped these cookies in dark chocolate and white chocolate. They were the hit of the cookie exchange this year.
