These are so easy to make. I made them last year for the holidays and were loved by all.

I baked them a little longer. I shut the oven off after an hour and then put it back on about 45 minutes later, and then let them sit in the closed oven for another hour. I put red and green food coloring in the mix to make them more Christmassy. They totally melt in your mouth!

I'm not sure if I made these correctly as they weren't as white in color as the picture here. They were a little brown which probably meant a little burnt. Anyhow, I thought they tasted okay...I halved the recipe so maybe I need to cook them in less time next time and they won't be as brown. They were hard on the outside while a little soft in the inside.

My meringues came out great, but i changed the recipe a bit. I didn't use the jello, but rather added food coloring to the meringue. Using a spoon was messy and not very pretty, so i piped the meringue using a large ziplock bag. I also had them bake for a lot longer than the recipe entailed. Other than that, I would use this meringue recipe again.

The flavor was not strong enough for my friends, so added more jello.........good. Also, a recipe with NO sugar would go over real well. My friends are dieters.

I have used this recipe twice and I love it! I am currently going to replace the sugar with a sugar substitute, and use low fat jello for the topping. That way I can hopefully eat these more often!

I think these could have baked for double the time. Mine were quite sticky. Although, very pretty with the jello. With leftover jello I just made a fruit jello. Only had to decrease water by a couple of TBL.

I made this for Easter and everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. I used different gelatin flavors (lime, cherry, orange, grape-spring colors). I will definitely make this again!

After my first time making these, my roommates and I ended up making 3 batches in one week. they are amazing!
