Blushing Pears

Blushing Pears recipe
This is my go-to dessert for a small group. The flavor, the tenderness of the pears, the warm pear against the cold cool whip... divine. And it looks really good, too. more

Very delicious. I and two of my family members are gastric bypass patients and we doubled the recipe and made it with sugar free jello. We then used the remaining liquid to make a kind of cider by adding a 2-liter bottle of 7-up plus and a 1/4 teaspoon cloves (ground). Great warm or cold and sugar free!!!
This has become one of my favorite dessert recipes. It is easy enough to make for myself, but pretty enough to make for company. Since I am on a weight loss program, using sugar free jello makes a delicious, yet healthy dessert. Sometimes I make more than one flavor of jello and layer the leftovers in a bowl and serve the multiple colors of pears on a platter, which is very pretty.
I made the pears with no sugar strawberry jello. After cooling pears in refrigerator, I added the jello and crushed pineapple to the dish. Looked festive and tasted great - healthy, as well.
Simple to prepare. Was surprised that the raspberry flavor was very light. Good warm with ice cream. There are other fruit desserts I like better but this is a nice change of pace.
Loved this recipe!! I couldn't figure out why my pears weren't as red, but then realized after the fact, that the pears were supposed to be peeled. They tasted great anyway!! The Cool Whip was a great added taste to it.
the recipe was great, but i found i needed to cook the pears longer than 20 minutes in order for them to be tender the next day when i served them.
I made this on the spur of the moment. I was surprised at just how good it was! I served the pears hot and with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. My husband loved it and so did I !!!
I needed a recipe that was fast AND inpressive -- this worked. They tasted great and my husband's family thought they were wonderful served with real whipped cream on the side!
I made Blushing Pears with a little whip cream on on the side for my Quilting friends, they loved them! 3 of the "girls" ask for the recipe. They were easy and fun to make.
Served warm with ice cream, not impressive. It might have been better if I had chilled it before serving. Did make a beautiful presentation though.
