I haven't made these yet but I was reading some of the reviews. I think the issue some people are having with it is that they think they are supposed to eat the whole ball at once. What you are actually supposed to do is take ball and eat it a bit at a time with crackers.

I made this recipe almost 50 years ago. Then it was shaped in an oval and almond halves (brown skin side up) were inserted to make it look like a pine cone, family loved it then. I really like the idea of individual servings, not so messy.

These cheese balls were fun to make and very tasty. I used the scallions for the whole mix instead of using half scallions and half roasted red peppers. I coated some of them with the nuts and the others with parsley, shredded cheese and paprika. They looked so colorful on the plate and everyone loved them! Will definitely make them again.

I made this recipe last year, and will definitely make it again for my holiday party. I make 3 cheese balls from the mix - one with the green onion, one with sesame seed and one with red pepper flake (for those who want and extra kick), I set them on a rectangle platter together and it gives a fun holiday red, green and white presentation.

I have made these several times and everyone LOVES them! I use several variations such as adding bacon bits to a portion of he mixture before balling and rolling some of them in grated coconut.

I made this recipe for a Christmas Eve party and everyone raved about how easy it was just to pickup one or two instead of digging into a whole cheese ball.
