EXCELLENT recipe! I had my doubts because of the inclusion of packaged pudding mixes, but the cheesecake did not taste artificial. I couldn't find the strawberry Cool Whip and had planned on making my own strawberry whipped cream, but my guests didn't want to wait for me to whip it up, so I used a jar of homemade lemon curd instead, which made the taste sensation more tart and lemony (the way I like lemon flavored desserts). Everyone declared it perfect and they all ate huge pieces. This one's a keeper.
This was the first cheesecake I've ever made and it came out wonderful. I only used one package of the lemon pudding mix so it had a hint of lemon which I thought was just perfect I didn't have a problem as the other reviewer mentioned of the cracking on top. I would definately make this again. Also, I froze half of it since it made such a large/thick cheesecake.
Made this for the first time yesterday and it was easy and delicious. Mine did not crack or run over the pan. Everyone wanted some so fast I didn't even get to serve with the whip cream or the strawberries I had prepaired. I am going to experiment with other flavors next.
This cheesecake was wonderful, I used low fat cream cheese and it was very tasty. Loved the strawberry whipped topping on it.
Alright, this recipe was good and we really enjoyed it, but I have a few points to make...1. This is not a simple recipe. Lots of ingredients too! 2. I had to use my 10 inch springform b/c there is a LOT of batter and it is very thick 4. Because it was so thick, I could not prevent cracking, but it didnt' really matter b/c you cover it with cool whip 3. I could not find the strawberry cool whip ANYWHERE, so I used regular and instead of chocolate curls, I put fresh strawberries on top-and it was really good. I will make it again, but only if I am out to make an impression!
I made this cake last Easter. There wasn't one piece left considering the size of it(HUGE). Delicious!
If you haven't tried this cheesecake you are doing yourself a disservice. It is absolutely great, I make it faithfully in the summer and on certain holidays and believe me it will be on my Easter menu.
I made this cheesecake for our family Easter Dinner and they raved it was the best cheesecake they ever tasted. I plan to make this again.
I made this cheesecake for a co-worker's birthday yesterday & it was a big hit, everyone wants the recipe. I'm going to make it for Easter for my family
I have made this recipe more than once and love it every time! I think it's an excellent recipe, very good for spring. I took the cheesecake to work and received rave reviews!
