Cheesy Green Bean Casserole

Cheesy Green Bean Casserole recipe
The green bean casserole just upped the ante. You'll love this stuffing-and-cheese-studded version so much, you'll be creating holidays just to have an excuse to make it.

Everyone wants me to make this for all of our family parties. I do change the recipe a bit though, I mix 3 cans of green beans, cut, french style, and whole for a bit of variety. Also Cheese Whiz sounds gross, so I made a velveeta sauce (melt velveeta and milk in the microwave) and mix with the mushroom soup. This is so much better than the green bean casserole w/ french onions, in my opinion. I am going to try this in the crock pot this year, so it might stay warm longer, might not add as much water to the stuffing in that case, I hope it works out ok.

I've made this recipe for Thanksgiving and Christmas for the past 2 years. Everyone loves it, but I use canned green beans instead of frozen. It tastes much better!

This was good but would prefer to use fresh or canned green beans rather than frozen

This was different then traditional grean bean casseroles. I received so many compliments.

I hate green beans, but will eat them in this casserole.

I made this for Thanksgiving and got rave reviews. It's very easy to make & has a different flavor than traditional "green bean casserole"

I didn't have stuffing so we used mashed potatoes on top instead. It was too cheesy I will cut back on the chez wiz next time.

My family absolutely loved this!! I microwaved the condensed soup and cheese so it was easy to blend and poured over the green beans. I also added a handful of Craisins to the stuffing, which makes for beautiful color and presentation. This is especially nice at Christmas. What a nice change from the traditional recipe with french fried onions!!! Thanks for a great recipe!!!

I am rating this according to my family's opinion. I do not eat this, only cooked it, but everybody here for Christmas loved it. I will make it again.

I tried this yesterday (Christmas) and agree with everyone regarding the flavor, BUT I am not a fan of frozen green beans, and would've preferred the dressing mix to be less 'wet.' Will try it again in the future using canned beans, microwaving it to heat the bean mixture, will use less liquid for the stuffing (perhaps chicken broth for added flavor) and then will finish baking in the oven to see if it dries the dressing for a little more crunchy texture.
