I made this while I was visiting my daughter. It was so easy and fast. She commented it was the best she has tasted. Since she is a working mother, I'm sure she will make this in the future.

This reminded me of the macaroni and cheese my grandmother used to make. Very creamy and good. I may try using canned milk next time for extra richness. Good recipe.

I had to bake it for 50 minutes, not the suggested 30. The overall texture was lumpy and there was no taste at all. Would not recommend. :(

My husband is a mac & cheese fantatic and would give this 4 stars-he said it tasted just like his grandmothers. I found it to have a grainy-not smooth-texture which I did not care for (why I gave it 3 stars). Perhaps melting the Velveeta and cheese together first then mixing with the noodles would help the texture.

I added some diced ham to this just to spruce it up a bit, it was good with the ham, but I think the ham might have taken away some of the cheesy taste. Seemed like it was missing something like it could have maybe used some salt, or maybe a bit more cheese. So if you use ham try it with salted butter or possibly use a slight bit more cheese to add a bit to the dish. Without the ham it probably wouldn't take any tweaking at all and would be fine with unsalted butter. Besides, you can always add salt later to your taste. Overall I rated this very good.
