This shrimp appetizer recipe was so delicious, they were gone in a matter of moments and I made a full platter for a small dinner party. It is also easier to put the sauce in a ketchup bottle for easier dispense. Absolutely amazing recipe. Also good color decor for Christmas!!!

Served on thinly sliced italian bread "slightly toasted" in place of crackers, Marvelous!

I used regular cream cheese and butter in equal amounts and mixed them together then rolled into a roll the size of my cracker. I used small shrimp, cocktail? shrimp and mixed the cocktail sauce with the shrimp and let them sit in the frige with the butter until ready to serve. I sliced the cheese roll and lay on the cracker topped with the shrimp mixture, onions etc. this was so good my friends said they could not stop eating them. I made little tiny lemon wedges to accompany the dish. Loved this, I know I did a little change but you designed the original.

Perhaps if one took a slice of cheese, that they like, put it down on cracker first, than added all the other thing's up top this, you would not have a limp-cracker, and, have several different styles of this recipe, plus, why leave it sit around for hours beforehand, make it, than serve it right than also. Also try "Tiger Shrimp" with this, not Gulf Shrimp, it makes it taste sweeter, like lobster, but cook them all first.

This was simple and tasted just okay. Made it for Thanksgiving. It didn't wow anybody and the crackers quickly got soggy. Maybe a tiny dash of Tobasco will spruce it up next time ... if there is a next time that I will prepare this.

This is a wonderful recipe, just don't make to far ahead, because the crackers will get soft.
