I made this for Easter and everyone loved it! It is easy to prepare and very light and creamy; a good cool summer dessert. I did use three lemon pudding mixes though to make this layer fuller.

I MADE THE CREAMY STRWBERRY-LEMON SQUARES FOR EASTER AND FOR WORK AND IT WAS SUCH A HIT. SO MANY FRIENDS AND FAMILY HAVE ASKED FOR THE RECIPE. IT IS A WONDERFUL REFRESHING DESSERT. IT'S THE BOMB AS THEY SAY!

I tried to make this recipe, but the cream cheese layer didn't spread very well onto the graham cracker layer. The dessert fell apart. So, I trashed it and had the strawberry Cool Whip on top of some pound cake instead. I wouldn't try this recipe again. <<< Tip from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Mary ~ Refrigerating the crust while you prepare the cream cheese mixture will firm up the crust. This allows you to spread the cream cheese layer smoothly. Also, be sure your cream cheese is softened. >>>

It is impossible to get the cream cheese to spread over the graham cracker crust. Wasted lots of money and time on this recipe.

It was great with one exception. It is almost impossible to get the strawberry Cool Whip. I had to improvise with juice drained off of frozen strawberries mixed into regular Cool Whip. I have found the same is true when trying to find chocolate Cool Whip for recipes that I have.

Pretty tasty! Easy to make, refreshing, good summertime dessert. My hubby didn't care for it as much but I thought it was pretty good.

AH!!! I love this recipe. It has now become a tradition to make every Easter. My whole family looks forward to eating it; we all fight over the last piece. The mixture of texture and taste is so scrumptious!!! We made it with regular cool whip instead of strawberry though.
