What You Need

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

3-1/2

cups cold milk

pkg. (3.4 oz. each) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding

pkg. (3 oz. each) ladyfingers, split

tub (6 oz.) COOL WHIP DIPS Strawberry Crème, thawed

2-1/2

cups sliced fresh strawberries

squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, grated

Make It

BEAT cream cheese in large bowl with mixer until creamy. Gradually add milk, beating until well blended. Add dry pudding mixes; beat on low speed 1 min. or until well blended.

COVER bottom of 13x9-inch pan with half the ladyfingers; top with layers of half each of the pudding mixture, COOL WHIP DIPS and berries. Repeat all layers.

REFRIGERATE 3 hours. Sprinkle with chocolate.

Place completely unwrapped package of cream cheese in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 10 sec. or just until softened. Add 15 sec. for each additional package of cream cheese.

I made this for Easter and everyone complimented me on how good it was. It was a light dessert after having a heavy main course. I could not find the strawberry Cool Whip, but using the white was just fine. I would suggest dipping the ladyfingers quickly (do not soak) into a cooled mixture of 1 cup of boiling water to which 2 tbsp. of instant coffee, 1 tbsp. of sugar and 2 tbsp. of Kahlua are added. This ensured the ladyfingers would be soft and the added flavour was superb. I found I required a 1 litre tub of Cool Whip instead of an 8 oz.. tub and an additional 1 cup of strawberries was necessary too. I layered the strawberries between the pudding/cheese mixture and the Cool Whip so my final layer was the Cool Whip to which I sprinkled sifted cocoa powder just before serving. It was an awesome dessert and I'll definitely make it again.
