Chocolate Chunk-Banana Bread

What You Need

cups flour

cup sugar

tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/4

tsp. salt

eggs

cup mashed fully ripe bananas (about 3)

1/3

cup oil

1/4

cup milk

1-1/2

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (6 oz.), coarsely chopped

1/2

cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

MIX flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl; set aside. Stir eggs, bananas, oil and milk in large bowl until well blended. Add dry ingredients; stir just until moistened. Stir in chopped chocolate and nuts.

POUR into greased 9x5-inch loaf pan.

BAKE 55 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 min.; remove to wire rack. Cool completely.

Extremely moist and flavoful. Would definitely make again. It did take longer to bake than the suggested 55 min. It took about 1 hour and 15 min. The bread started to brown so I covered it with tin foil.

my kids loved this bread. the chocolate chunks is what drew them in - great breakfast alternative!

This was awful. One bite & threw away. Husband hated it also. Very dense & became mush in mouth. Hv never had a banana bread come out so bad.

Very easy to make. Forgot the sugar, but added chocolate chips which offset the rest of the banana bread nicely. It was very dense though.

This the best banana bread I've made. My husband and kids loved it....it was gone in a day. I will say that I think 6 squares of chocolate is a bit too much. I made it with 4 squares and that was enough chocolate for me.

Great recipe to use with some ripe bananas. It was a hit at our house. This is the best banana bread recipe that I have found so far.
