What You Need

cup flour

cup old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats

1/2

tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/2

tsp. baking soda

1/4

tsp. salt

1/2

cup butter, softened

1/2

cup granulated sugar

1/2

cup packed brown sugar

1/2

cup PLANTERS Creamy Peanut Butter

egg

1-1/2

tsp. vanilla

1-1/2

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (6 oz.), coarsely chopped

Make It

HEAT oven to 375°F.

MIX first 5 ingredients until well blended Beat butter, sugars and peanut butter in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in chocolate.

DROP heaping tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets.

BAKE 10 to 12 min. or until lightly browned. Cool 1 min. on baking sheet; remove to wire racks. Cool completely.

These are officially the best cookies in the world. Like a chocolate chip cookie, but with a hint of peanut butter, and the texture of oatmeal. YUM! They went over very well with the crowd too.

These cookies are great. My family loves them and I have made them over and over. I use 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and 3/4 cup of brown sugar. I put butterscotch chips in them once by mistake and they were wonderful.

These were delicious and they didn't take long at all to bake. I am definitely making these again.

Great! after baking the cookies slightly press them with a fork and they will spread and look like the picture.

I make these about once a month. My husband LOVES them! They are our favorite cookies! Sometimes I add a little coconut if I have it - makes them even sweeter!

I subbed out white flour for whole wheat pastry flour and it was still yummy. A little, too, sweet for me BUT my family loved them the same. I will add this recipe to my holiday cookies.
