What You Need

cup flour

cup old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats

1/2

tsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

1/2

tsp. baking soda

1/4

tsp. salt

1/2

cup butter, softened

1/2

cup granulated sugar

1/2

cup packed brown sugar

1/2

cup PLANTERS Creamy Peanut Butter

egg

1-1/2

tsp. vanilla

1-1/2

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (6 oz.), coarsely chopped

Make It

HEAT oven to 375°F.

MIX first 5 ingredients until well blended Beat butter, sugars and peanut butter in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in chocolate.

DROP heaping tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets.

BAKE 10 to 12 min. or until lightly browned. Cool 1 min. on baking sheet; remove to wire racks. Cool completely.

I used a little more peanut butter and used semi-sweet chocolate chips instaed of chocolate chunks.

These cookies were really tasty. I had the same problem as some other commenters, my cookies didn't spread. I think it may be because I used natural peanut butter. I added an egg to my second batch and was much happier with the texture. The flavors are there for sure though.

Excellent for gluten free baking. Replace AP flour with GF AP flour 1:1. Use crunchy PB for extra texture and "kick"

I made these cookies for a dinner party. They were a huge hit! They were loved by kids and adults, who could ask for anything more!

these were great. i rolled the dough into balls and put on cookie sheet worked out great and for a little more depth add some shredded coconut.

I've made this recipe many times and received rave reviews with every batch. They disappear quickly! I use the old-fashioned oats and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Everyone always requests that I make these cookies for gatherings.
