Saucy Pudding Cake recipe
This cake is awesome! I tweaked it a bit though. I used 2 cups of milk and only 1/4 cup of water. I also used splenda instead of sugar and applesauce instead of oil for ...read more

This was good, but I would add the smaller amount of cinnamon. The first time I made it the cinnamon flavor was very overwhelming. Overall everyone enjoyed it!

I did not like this recipe at all. It looks nothing like it did on the picture, the cake floated to the top and had the watery pudding at the bottom. It was just not what I expected. It *IS* called, Saucy Pudding Cake and that's exactly what I got. A saucy pudding with cake floating at the top. They should change the picture for this recipe, because that's not at all what you would get.

Next time, I'm going to substitue chocolate cake for the yellow cake in the recipe as someone else suggested and mix and match pudding and cake flavors each time I make it.

I made this with the devil chocolate cake mix and left out the extra sugar and spice. I also cut the water down to 11/2 cups. It was delicious! I plan on making it in several flavors! It was very easy and my kids loved it! Talk about moist!

This sounds wonderful and I plan on making this soon. I have a question regarding the directions? After perparing the cake the directions say to 'POUR milk and 2 cups water into large bowl.' However there is no mention of 2 cups water listed in the ingrediants. Are the instructions correct and the ingrediants list in error??? Please someone let me know I am dying to make this!!! <<< Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Maggie ~ The instructions are correct. Kraft recipes do not include water in the list of ingredients. >>>

My cake did not turn out like the picture at all. But it still tasted good. I highly recommend placing dish on a baking sheet, as pudding really does bubble. I would also use one pack of pudding instead of two so it doesn't take away from the cake. A simple, easy dish to fix.

This recipe was very good. Everyone wanted seconds. I also added bananas to mine onto the top of the pudding before cooking. They definately added extra flavor.

We love this dessert. Only instead try making the yellow cake by alone. Use chocolate cook and serve pudding. Prepare pudding according to package directions. Except serve pudding hot over the yellow cake. Top with whip cream if desired. Very rich and very delicious this way.

I didn't like this recipe because the cake floated to the top and the bottom was all hot pudding. It was very hard to cut and it did not taste very good.
