Ultimate 7-Layer Dip

Ultimate 7-Layer Dip recipe
Sure, we could have gone with six, but at what cost? Lose the sour cream, or the zesty salsa, or the shredded cheese or….No. Seven layers. Get a little in each bite.

Left out the salsa b/c I didn't want it to water down the dip. Used chopped tomatoes instead. I think it was better b/c all ingredients were fresh. And, since I was at the store 15 minutes before the Super Bowl started, the store was out of gr onions! Will def make again maybe adding jalapenos...and hopefully gr onions. -A cook in StL, MO.

This recipe is great! I have requests to make it almost every week! the only thing I do differant is heat the refried beans up, and add seasoning too it. Then put in dish with a layer of cheese on top and heat up in oven till cheese is melted. Then i add the rest off the ingredients on it and serve it warm!! *Its delicious!!!

I have made this twice already and will continue to make it. I had a party and it was gone in 30 minutes! Everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. I wouldn't change anything or add anything to the recipe. It is great how it is!

One of my favorites-I agree about the Frito Scoops. I also like to add a layer of black beans.

I have made this recipe every weekend for the past two months. Not only for gatherings but just for my family. I have added more to it than the basic recipe. For instance, i used a whole package of the taco seasoning and iIuse the cheese flavoring. It gives it a nice zing. I also use more sour cream. I use a whole jar of the salsa too. When mine is done it looks like a huge cheese pie. I serve mine with "Scoops" taco chips. it grabs more and I feel goes along better with it than the recipe called for wheat thins. I have gotten rave reviews for the the dip and have now been asked to bring it insteada of my old potato salad. So thank you very much for this recipe. Its fun to make and eat!
