Ultimate 7-Layer Dip

Ultimate 7-Layer Dip recipe
Sure, we could have gone with six, but at what cost? Lose the sour cream, or the zesty salsa, or the shredded cheese or….No. Seven layers. Get a little in each bite.

I made this for a SuperBowl party and it got rave reviews. I used fat-free beans, low-fat sour cream, and left off the cheese (I didn't have any). No one noticed that it was virtually fat free. I added chopped tomatoes on top as well, and I didn't have any taco seasoning so I added chili powder, cumin and garlic salt. I think next time I will heat the beans and add a little cheese on top to melt.

We love this recipe too, however, I like to chop cilantro and mix into the refried beans then warm it in the microwave. I layer the beans, then the cooked seasoned ground beef, then shredded cheese; pop it in the microwave to melt the cheese. Top it with pico de gallo and salsa, green onions and drops of sour cheese topped with black olives. My family and friends cannot get enough of it, so make plenty!
