Shrimp & Chipotle Alfredo

I can honestyly say this is the best recipe on this entire site. I've never even cooked shrimp before and this was so easy! Just as good as eating at a seafood restaurant!

What You Need

lb. fettuccine, uncooked

Tbsp. butter or margarine, divided

1-1/2

lb. uncooked large shrimp, peeled, deveined

oz. (3/4 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed

cup milk

3/4

cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Tbsp. canned chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, finely chopped

Make It

COOK pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.

MEANWHILE, melt 2 Tbsp. butter in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add shrimp; cook and stir 3 min. or until shrimp turn pink. Remove shrimp from skillet; cover to keep warm.

ADD next 4 ingredients and remaining butter to skillet; cook on low heat 5 min. or until cream cheese is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly with whisk. Stir in shrimp.

DRAIN pasta; place in large bowl. Add sauce; mix lightly.

For a stronger or milder flavor, use more or less chipotle peppers to taste.

Shrimp Sizes

The size of a shrimp is indicated by the count or number of shrimp per pound. The smaller the number, the larger the shrimp. Shrimp size terminology varies from place to place, so the count is the most accurate way to call for shrimp in a recipe. A basic guideline is: 11 to 15 is jumbo; 16 to 20 is extra large; 21 to 30 is large; 31 to 35 is medium and 36 to 45 is small.

Very easy recipe and extremely good! I sauteed some garlic with while cooking the shrimp. I didn't have any chipotle peppers on hand, so I added chipotle seasoning to the milk and it worked out very well.

So good and so easy to make. I didn't have chipotle peppers in adobo sauce but I did find chipotle flavoured Philidelphia cream cheese so I just substituted cream cheese and added a little extra for good measure. It was still nice and spicy with a bit of a bite. Probably would be spicier the original way but the results were good and safe for the pallat.

I found this was a very easy recipe to make and takes just like homemade alfredo. I also added my own touch with some sliced garlic added to it while I cooked the shrimp.

The chipotle peppers are very spicy!!, so use carefully, but it was a great dish! Big hit with my husband!

MI ESPOSO ES DE VERACRUZ Y ES BUENISIMO PARA COCINAR LOS CAMARONES ,PODRIA DECIR QUE SON SU ESPECIALIDAD,PERO CON ESTA RECETA LO SORPRENDI PORQUE LE ENCANTO,LO QUE NO SE ES QUE SI EL QUESO PARMESANO ES PARA ESPOLVOREAR LA PASTA YA SERVIDA,PUES YO LO HICE ASI.

Bueno para ke no se les corte la salsa, les doy un tip no la hagan, yo personalmente prefiero el sabor de la salsa Alfredo que ya viene lista y no se corta!!
