CHIPS AHOY!® Banana Muffins

We made this recipe and my kids loved it! Who would have thought that adding crushed chips ahoy cookies to the muffins would be soooo good!

What You Need

CHIPS AHOY! Cookies, coarsely crushed, divided

medium ripe bananas

egg

1/2

cup milk

Tbsp. oil

1-1/4

cups flour

1/3

cup firmly packed light brown sugar

Tbsp. CALUMET Baking Powder

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 400°F. Remove 1/2 cup of the crushed cookies; set aside for the topping. Mash bananas with fork in large bowl. Add egg, milk and oil; mix well. Stir in combined flour, sugar and baking powder just until moistened. Stir in remaining crushed cookies.

SPOON evenly into 12 medium muffin cups sprayed with cooking spray. Sprinkle with reserved crushed cookies.

BAKE 20 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers come out clean. Serve warm or cooled.

Special Extra

Muffins can be glazed with a powdered sugar glaze. Just stir 2 tsp. water or milk into 1 cup powdered sugar until well blended. If necessary, stir in an additional tsp. of water or milk until glaze is of desired consistency. Drizzle over cooled muffins.

Make it Easy

Use an ice cream scoop to quickly and neatly fill muffin cups with batter.

i substituted the cookies for about a half cup or so of chocolate chips and followed the rest of the reciepe as it is written. they turned out very good. i will absolutley make them agian.

Absolutely delicious. Could previous poster rwck have made muffins with baking soda instead of baking powder?

I followed this recipe exactly except I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract. I am very angry and very disappointed in how this recipe turned out, especially after spending two hours to prepare it. Kraft should remove this recipe from it's website. It smelled and tasted absolutely terrible...like a combination of baking soda and dog breath, and they instruct you to sprinkle the remaining cookie pieces on the tops of the muffins and they were burnt black when I took them out of the oven. I am very, very disappointed in this recipe, it sounded delicious but it ended in disaster and I would not recommend it to anyone.
