Grilled "Baked" Potatoes

We'll admit it, we can't stand the heat. So we're taking baked potatoes out of the kitchen for the summer, with fluffy insides and skins so crisp you'll never miss the oven.

What You Need

baking potatoes (2 lb.)

Tbsp. oil

1/2

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

1/2

cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

green onions, sliced

1/4

cup OSCAR MAYER Real Bacon Bits

Make It

HEAT greased grill to medium-high heat.

PIERCE potatoes with fork or small sharp knife; rub with oil.

MICROWAVE potatoes on microwaveable plate on HIGH 8 min. or until tender, turning after 4 min. Transfer from plate to grate of grill.

GRILL 12 to 15 min. or until potatoes are crisp and lightly browned, turning occasionally. Split potatoes. Serve topped with remaining ingredients.

Variation

Prepare using BREAKSTONE'S Reduced Fat or KNUDSEN Light Sour Cream, and KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Cheddar Cheese.

Note

Microwaved potatoes can also be wrapped individually in foil. Grill 12 to 15 min. or until potatoes are tender, turning occasionally. Potatoes will be less crispy than when grilled without the foil.

Special Extra

Sprinkle potatoes with 1 tsp. salt after rubbing with oil. Continue as directed.

These are faster and more flavorful than regular baked potatoes. Big hit with my family!

The absolute BEST way to make baked potatoes in the whole wide world!!! I will forever make them this way. There's no going back to boring. The skin is so wonderful and crispy. Delicious!

These are the best baked potatoes ever and my husband loved them too. He loves grilling potatoes but from now on this is the only way he said he would make them again. I didn't have green onions but I will the next time we make these.
