I made my own mashed potatoes and put shredded cheese on top for the last 5 minutes of the cooking time. A family favorite.

Try this, fry hamburger in pan then instead of brown gravy, put in tomato sauce. You could also use either frozen or canned vegetables. Mix all this together and bring to a slight simmer then put in your casarole dish. Prepare mashed potatos like you normally would with milk and butter in them then put it on top of your meat mix. Then add shreaded chedder cheese on top and bake it a t 350 till the cheese is melted.

I doubles up on this recipe. I make it for six people. It is fast, filling and really tasty. if you double up just make sure to add 3 cups of veggies and an entire mix of gravy.

It is a quick simple good for you meal... however both my son and I perfer using tater tot instead of mashed potatoes. This time because of budget restraints I used instant mash potatoes, well drained carrots and whole kernel corn, added sherred cheddard cheese... all in all it was a good hearty meal for the two of us and will give us leftovers for our lunches at work tomorrow.

This was very good! I have a family of five and we had to use two pounds of ground beef, one wouldn't have been enough.

I used left over pot roast instead we really enjoyed this recipe, however if you use pot roast increase the bake time by 10 to 15 min.
