Cheesy Shepherd's Pie

Cheesy Shepherd's Pie recipe
Cheesy potatoes top a classic shepherd's pie made with ground beef, gravy and mixed veggies. It's good, easy comfort food at its best!

Very bland, overall - not much flavor, and the texture was imbalanced. Prefer other shepherd's pie recipes.
I've made this a few times and my family loves it. But I use cream of mushroom soup instead of gravy and I season the meat with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
I, the semi-veggie lover in the family, liked this. The rest of the family picked the vegetables out - children and husbands! I did add garlic powder and onion powder like some others suggested for more flavor, without the cheesy mashed potatoes this would've been a no go.
This is the 2nd time I've made this recipe and it was even better than the first time! I seasoned the beef with garlic powder and onion powder, and seasoned again with garlic salt and pepper after adding the gravy and vegebtables. Without the seasoning, it can be very bland. My fiance loves it! We never have leftovers!
This recipe was VERY bland! It was gross and we ended up throwing most of it away.
I made it for my family and got great reviews. Very easy!
I added some garlic salt to the meat and used carrots, green beans and corn and my children (3 & 5) looooved it! It was good for them and they didnt even know it!
I've never made it with gravy. I substituted it with bbq sauce and it's great! I did it this way because I didn't have any gravy on hand and my husband liked it so much like this I always use bbq sauce now.
It seemed to be lacking a little pizazz, but my chilly family was warmed to the bone and my 4 year old ate it, and that's a plus!! Oh yeah, I had to use a can of veggies, instead of frozen, and it worked great!
I didn't have the instant potatoes so I made my own from scratch and sprinkled shredded cheese on top. It was great!
