I used salmon with scallions, and cheese. They had a great flavor. My kids loved them. It made a great Good Friday meal. Jessie from WV

My first stab at making Salmon Cakes - when I opened the can I thought there would be no way I could eat them... but after they were cooked, we sat down and they were delicious. Be sure to take the skin off to avoid the 'fishy' taste. My 1-year old daughter had two servings! And my husband said this recipe was better than his mothers - first time that has happened in 8 years. :)

i wondered about this recipe, as that salmon cakes is a family favorite passed down from my mom, but we went ahead and tired some of our family recipe and I did a batch from this receipe. WOW. Guess what was leftovers... the passed down receipe. My sister does this now with chicken. Even with the salmon you dont really have a fishey taste or the smell in the house from it. My sister doesn't even like seafood, but will come eat at my house when I cook these. I encourge all to try it, it is very good!

I was unsuccessful with this recipe. I utilized crab, celery and tartar sauce as my choices and chilled them as directed. Unfortunately the crab cakes fell apart as I was cooking them in the skillet and could not be eaten. This situation was unusual as I typically have success with Kraft recipes.

This was the best recipe for salmon cakes I have tried! I will definitely replace the one I have been using with this one. It was moist, had lots of flavor and had the perfect mix of salmon to breading. Yummy! I plan to try some of the other fish cake recipes.

My only complaint (and the reason I only gave it three stars) was that they completely fell apart as I was trying to fry them. Next time I make them I think I'll try adding an egg to bind the ingredients better. I wound up putting the rest in the oven (not as tasty) because the frying process involved too much handling and I ended up with a pile of fried stuffing and crabmeat. Other than that they tasted amazing!
