This bread was very good. It had a medium texture inside, and wonderfuly crispy crust. It did dry out very quickly( I made it at noon and it was dry by five). I used golden raisins instead of regular. I like the fact that it used no eggs.

Made this recipe last week. What a tasty bread. I done just what the recipe ordered. It was moist and great with a cup of coffee, shared with irish friend she loved it. Next time I will probably add apricots sound good?

A quick, easy and very tasty recipe for this traditional Irish bread. I made 3 loaves for my office on St. Patrick's Day and it literally disappeared! I added a tablespoon of caraway seeds to the mix as well.

The only thing missing in this recipe is 1 tblsp caraway seeds. I have a recipe just like this one from my aunt. She was from county Cork Ireland. I put real butter on my Irish Soda Bread slice. That and a cup of tea makes for fond memories of my aunt, and a bright sunny day.
