I have just started to receive your magazine. What a joy. I did take the Kraft Kitchen Challange making the Strawberry Rhubarb cup dessert. (So good after a big meal) I put the dessert in small jelly jars with lids. Then put whip cream on top and put the lids back on. Nice conversation piece for a lunchon.
We have made this recipe 3 times so far and absolutely love it! It is refreshing and yummy. I have always loved rhubarb and am happy to add this recipe to my files. On another note, I think this is the best place to find recipes the whole family will love! Haven't been disappointed yet.....Diana Baker
The flavor of this dessert was delicious! However, it was very thick. It would have made a great pie filling. The next time I would use less rhubarb....and add more water to the jello.....unless I want to make a yummy pie.
I added more rhubarb and a bit more sugar to this. I thought it was very nice and thick as rhubarb tends to get too runny. I personally love it thick. I also added a generous amount of cinnamon to the whipped topping as I have a cinnamon rhubarb sauce that I make and really enjoy. The tangy tart taste is the best part of rhubarb. Keep exploring rhubarb recipes. The basic punch and slush recipes are also a great summer time refresher!
It was too thick. It needed more water in the recipe. I only ended up with 4 (1/2 cup) servings instead of 7 like the recipe says. Other than the consistency it was very tasty!!
My family did not care for the sharpness of the rhubarb in this recipe
I made a sugar-free low-carb version of this -- it's awesome! I used frozen rhubarb (fresh is not yet available here) and sugar-free jello. It was great!
Going to try it with other Jello flavors. Can't wait until our farm grown rhubarb comes up!
My husband and my kids loved this dessert. I tried it the first time with cranberry jello and it was great. They keep asking for more.
My hubby doesn't like strawberries, so I used raspberry jello, it was a big hit with both him and my 2 year old! Next time I will use a little more water... it was a bit strong! Neat recipe, though and so easy! :)
