I get this requested all the time! Wonderful!!!! I mix fruits on it and cookie dough flavors. I have never had a problem with it!
Ewww....what a dissapointment. The cream cheese flavor in the frosting was waaay too strong and there was way too much. I scraped off about 3/4 of the frosting, and only then was it OK. Don't make this unless you plan on eating it the same day. I left mine in the refrigerator overnight and the frosting soaked into the cookies and made them digustingly soggy. I threw everything that was left away.
Save putting the fruit on until the very last minute
I made the version with the cocoa. I sliced the strawberries but didn't add them to the cookie until I was ready to serve it so that I could save the remainder for the next day and it didn't get soggy.
Superb dessert I and my family had enjoyed thanks to team kraft foods.
we made this recipe 2 years ago . my family asked for it again this thanksgiving.we use bag cookie mix and we do the cream cheese and sugar mixture then we drain fruit cocktail out of can we then use fresh bannas strawberrys we soak our bannas in lemon juice so they dont turn black .we top it with orange juice thickend with corn starch cooked on med heat . it is yum yum .you can use any juice mixture .
YUM YUM YUM - try it with peaches. I also made one with chocolate covered raisins - didn't last too long around the house or at work for that matter.
This recipe is very easy to make and it was delicious. I used 2 pie pans instead of a round baking sheet so I can have 1 for at home and 1 for the party. The kids really enjoyed it with the strawberries. I also sprinked mine with chocolate chips. It was a nice treat!
The hardest thing about making this GREAT dessert was deciding which one to create! It was gobbled up right after Thanksgiving dinner (rather than the typical pumpkin pie) because it was lighter and different.
I have made the cocoa/strawberries dessert many times, it is a big hit. I like taking this dish when I go to parties. I haven't found anyone who doesn't like this dish!
