We had a hunch about these two. And sure enough, fireworks. Ooey-gooey mac and cheese pairs up with the Tex-Mex flavors of tacos for a match made in heaven.

What You Need

pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner

lb. ground beef

pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Taco Seasoning Mix

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

1-1/2

cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided

cup TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick 'N Chunky Salsa

Make It

HEAT oven to 400°F.

PREPARE Dinner as directed on package. While Macaroni is cooking, cook meat with taco seasoning as directed on package.

STIR sour cream into prepared Dinner; spoon half the Dinner mixture into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Top with layers of meat mixture, 1 cup shredded cheese and remaining Dinner mixture; cover.

BAKE 15 min.; top with salsa and remaining shredded cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

This was so good and simple to make on a friday night, my kids loved it and everyone ended up having seconds. For once NO left overs. My 12 yr old said this was one of the best dinners I've made and the 5 & 3 yr old were happy about the mac n cheese. Husband was happy with a full belly. : )

Yum! Super easy to make and tasted great. Made it for me and the hubby. It's a bit heavy on the stomach and very filling, tho. So be prepared to have some tasty leftovers for tomorrow night's dinner.

Quick, easy, and Yummy! We love anything Mexican and how can you go wrong with mac & cheese?! I used ground turkey as opposed to the beef - other than that = Great!

@ the person who said this recipe was tasteless and boring....I am not sure what you did wrong, but I thought (and husband agreed) that it was very flavorful. Like many other people, I too mixed the ingredients together before putting in the dish to bake. I was not fond of the idea of layering. THIS IS A GREAT RECIPE, AND WILL REMAIN IN MY RECIPE BOX FOR A LONG TIME!!

My family loves this recipe, even my picky 5 year old. We make it atleast once a month. It is so easy and so good!
