Taco Bake

We had a hunch about these two. And sure enough, fireworks. Ooey-gooey mac and cheese pairs up with the Tex-Mex flavors of tacos for a match made in heaven.

What You Need

pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner

lb. ground beef

pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Taco Seasoning Mix

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

1-1/2

cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided

cup TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick 'N Chunky Salsa

Make It

HEAT oven to 400°F.

PREPARE Dinner as directed on package. While Macaroni is cooking, cook meat with taco seasoning as directed on package.

STIR sour cream into prepared Dinner; spoon half the Dinner mixture into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Top with layers of meat mixture, 1 cup shredded cheese and remaining Dinner mixture; cover.

BAKE 15 min.; top with salsa and remaining shredded cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

This recipe was a nice change. If you are looking for something different but with simply ingredients, try this one.

I stir fried onions in with the beef and added the crumpled chips at the end before i added the salsa and cheese. I love this recipe.

Tasty Taco Treat! I found the recipe in a magazine, made it, and then checked this site. I am going to make this recipe for a get together soon. I am also going to change the cheese to a Mexican Blend, add chips, and more salsa. Overall it's a great, easy, quick meal!

We have had this bake 3 times this month, we loved it, and have gave it to almost everyone in our family and they too loved it!!! Everyone should try this, it's quick and easy and most of all great!!!
