Taco Bake

We had a hunch about these two. And sure enough, fireworks. Ooey-gooey mac and cheese pairs up with the Tex-Mex flavors of tacos for a match made in heaven.

What You Need

pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner

lb. ground beef

pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Taco Seasoning Mix

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

1-1/2

cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided

cup TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick 'N Chunky Salsa

Make It

HEAT oven to 400°F.

PREPARE Dinner as directed on package. While Macaroni is cooking, cook meat with taco seasoning as directed on package.

STIR sour cream into prepared Dinner; spoon half the Dinner mixture into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Top with layers of meat mixture, 1 cup shredded cheese and remaining Dinner mixture; cover.

BAKE 15 min.; top with salsa and remaining shredded cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

My family likes this one. I add a can of Mexicorn (drained) following the first layer.

This is my husband's absolutely favorite dish. He requests it all the time. We always put crunched up fritos or tortilla chips on top. So delicious!

I was a bit skeptical about this recipe but I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was. My whole family enjoyed it. The only change I made was I used taco cheese instead of cheddar....delicious!!!

I really didn't have high hopes but this turned out to be a real winner!! Preparation was quick and easy. Would definitely make this again!

This is a total winner! I have an extremely picky eater and he ate almost the whole plate. I served it with scoop tortilla chips and we all devoured it. I will definitely be making this again.

This is one of my favorite meals. My family absolutely adores it. I have to make it atleast once a month.

I added corn, black olives, and put the nacho chips on top. I also mixed the salsa in with the mac n cheese rather than placing on top. Family enjoyed it!

This came out really well. I accidently bought the 3 cheese and shells version of the mac and cheese by mistake, but I used it anyway and it was good! In fact when I make it again I will use the 3 cheese version again.
