Taco Bake

We had a hunch about these two. And sure enough, fireworks. Ooey-gooey mac and cheese pairs up with the Tex-Mex flavors of tacos for a match made in heaven.

What You Need

pkg. (14 oz.) KRAFT Deluxe Macaroni & Cheese Dinner

lb. ground beef

pkg. (1-1/4 oz.) TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Taco Seasoning Mix

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

1-1/2

cups KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese, divided

cup TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick 'N Chunky Salsa

Make It

HEAT oven to 400°F.

PREPARE Dinner as directed on package. While Macaroni is cooking, cook meat with taco seasoning as directed on package.

STIR sour cream into prepared Dinner; spoon half the Dinner mixture into 8-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Top with layers of meat mixture, 1 cup shredded cheese and remaining Dinner mixture; cover.

BAKE 15 min.; top with salsa and remaining shredded cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

My husband requests this recipe at least once a month. It's just one of those that you can rely on for a big hit. Makes enough for four Just a great dinner

It is so easy and quick to make, all you need to do is add a nice salad and you have a great meal A great change from regular tacos. My family loves it. Polly

I have been making this recipe for over a year and it has been really good each and every time. My family loves the extra zing from the salsa so much that I pour a generous amount on top of the casserole rather than measure. I have even warmed up a portion of the leftover taco bake and served it over lettuce with tortilla chips as a "makeover taco bake". Always very good and frequently requested.

PERFECT JUST THE WAY IT IS! I used 2% cheese and light sour cream to cut some calories, but the taste was amazing! My family loved it!!!

This is the BEST Mac and Cheese I have ever tasted. I mixed up the ingredients before i put it in the oven and my kids were begging to eat it before it was done. Leftover's were gone the next day. Even my youngest son who likes plain tasting food loved it! Made it a few days ago and they are already asking for more!

I made this last night for dinner. How ever only 1/2 of us liked it. My husband and son wouldnt touch it and My daughter, a friend and I liked it. I added a ton of Hot sauce on mine to zap it up a bit. However this is not a re do in my house .
