My family raved! The nutmeg sounded repulsive in a meat dish to me. I substituted cumin for nutmeg and celery salt and garlic salt in place of the regular salt. It was spec...read more

These were very tasty and easy to make. I will definitely be making them again.

I cooked the meat balls in the oven on a little grill. Then I made the sauce in a sauce pan, no drippings. It turned out nicely. Much more healthy.

The sauce tasted like cooked sour cream, and was kind of gross. Will not make again.

This recipe may have been bad because of too much nutmeg, but the sour cream surely helped nothing at all. This was nothing like any other swedish meatballs I have ever tasted. The meatballs were good though, if you were looking for mini meatloafs in sour cream.

Taking heed of the warnings, I omitted the flour and added one whole soup can of beef broth instead of just one cup. I also cooked the meatballs to a low boil in the broth, and after I added the sour cream, I brought the sauce to boil and boiled it for about a minute. The sauce thickened up nicely but didn't have any of the problems discussed in the previous reviews. It was excellent.

It was good. I served them over egg noodles. You must eat them while they're hot. I was missing something but couldn't figure out what it was. I may try it with a beef gravy next time.

I doubled the recipe for more sauce and served it over noodles. It was not creamy enough........my kids did not like much either...I will not make this one again.

Eat this right away. I made it and than my husband showed up maybe 30 mins later. The sauce gets really thick and flavors aren't the greatest. The meatballs were ok. Seemed a little to flavorful with the stove top, may keep out that next time I cook the meatballs and use bread crumbs instead. If I were to make it again I would do more of a mushroom gravy than a sour cream gravy.
