This was served at my daughters wedding. I can't believe how many people asked for the recipe. It was perfect. We made it in the large cake pan type pans from a chafing dish and it worked out great.
Easy but I didn't care for the taste.
WONDERFUL! My 85 year old grandma said that it was "the best" Jello she's ever had! Such a smooth taste!
My layers didn't stay separate like the photo, but the dish was very good and the guests liked it, too. I liked the mixed-up flavor of the layers. I would make it again.
I realized too late that I didn't have enough strawberry jello, so I used what I had available - mixing strawberry, raspberry and orange. It turned out fine. Has a great flavor. This makes a huge bowl so be prepared for leftovers unless you're cooking for a crowd.
This turned out pretty well. It was all eaten up pretty quickly. It looked pretty too. I altered the recipe by using 2 boxes mango flavored gelatin and 1 box pineapple. I used chunks of pineapple. I think it tasted bests with the cream cheese mixture mixed together with the jello.
I altered the recipe I took a shortbread pie shell made the cream cheese mixture put that inside the pie shell and then took pineapple jello made the jello and put pineapple chunksin the jello and put on top of cream cheese mixture. then you refridgerate. Excellent. Try it.
I made this for Easter dinner & it was a HIT!!! It is a good recipe for the "purist". No crunchy things that some people don't care for. However, I did use sugar-free jello, a sugar substitute, Lite Cool Whip & another time will try Neufchatel cheese. It brot rave reviews. Also it is pretty & I had a perfect bowl to serve it in. Thank you!
this is the best jello recipe i have ever tried. i used cherry jello instead of strawberry. i made this for thanksgiving and it got eaten up BEFORE the pumpkin pies!! it was a huge success and very pretty in the glass bowl.
It would have been nice to know the size of dish to put it in. I tried a pie dish and ended up spilling all over the counter. I ended up using a 8x11, which worked out really well. I also substituted confections sugar for regular sugar and I used 1/3 less fat cream cheese and light whipped topping. It was a huge hit, everyone loved it!
