VERY quick and easy! A big hit at several parties I've taken them to.
My great-grandmother used to make these when I was little and this recipe tastes just like hers. Big hit with the family now that someone knows how to make them again!
I made this for my co-workers. They really enjoyed the breakfast treat.
I used pork sausage and hot pepper cheese. I also added an egg to the batch. It seemed to help hold it together. The "guys" in my family preferred them over all the girls. I am maybe making them for the super bowl party.
First try was too doughy! Next tries, I placed the italian sausagem garlic salt, pepper, etc. and the cheese in a large bowl, added a bit of bisquick, little at a time, and mixed lightly with my hands so not to mash all ingredients, just mix. Added a little mayonnaise instead of milk to moisten and made the balls without mashing the ingredients. The balls turned out light and fluffy. GREAT recipe. A to-do again! Happy New Year to all, especially Kraft employees.
I've never been a big fan of sausage balls, but wanted something simple for a Christmas party. I will admit they were very tasty, even for me....I reviewed the previous comments... and used hot sausage and sharp cheddar cheese... am taking them to a party tomorrow nite... will see how they rate there. It did make 8 1/3 doz. so you do spend some time in the kitchen baking them.
I have been making these for years, courtesy of my great grandmothers recipe. I also use spicy hot sausage and sharp cheddar cheese for extra flavor.
These turned out very greasy. I added extra cheese because I read in other comments that it was recommended, but these turned out greasy, although they were somewhat tasty.
I made these for thanksgiving. Everyone said they were "perfect"!
i liked this receipe over other sausage ball receipes because the milk helps keep it together! Thanks Kraft!
